This is the hotel at the Cestas Service area on the A63. Regular travellers will remember a somewhat run down service area and an unexciting Campanile Hotel. All that has changed. The service area has been completely remodelled with a new Leo restaurant. The brand new hotel is now branded as Ace. It has a lot to recommend it. It has free secure parking, is bright and cheerful and dog friendly. The rooms are considerably bigger than in other budget chains. The hotel is well sound proofed so you are not disturbed by traffic noise from the adjacent motorway,
The hotel provides guests with a 15% discount voucher for the Courtpaille restaurant. This is actually on the other side of the motorway but easily accessed via well lit pedestrian walkways and a tunnel.
Breakfast in the hotel was standard continental. The only slight moan we had was that there id no bar in the hotel. The reception staff could offer only beer for an evening drink.

Me and my sister were traveling from Portugal to Switzerland and we needed a place to stay. It was the first one we saw in France and took a shot on it. I was a little afraid that it would be bad or feel unsafe or without security, but it was better than what I had imagined! The lady in the reception was very available to us, even though we don't talk French; the man on the restaurant was really nice, it felt good because he made us laugh a little and felt nice to relax from more than a 1000km trip. When we got to the room, it's was very comfortable, the bathroom was really nice, very clean, the bed was very comfortable too. One of my first questions was about security and the lady on the reception said that police goes there every hour and that really made me feel safe. You can hear the cars on the road, but nothing special. It's a really good place to stop and rest in trips like this.

After 12 hours of driving we were desparate to stop and rest, this hotel was the only one we could find open at midnight, although i am grateful to have been able to find a bed, this is the worst hotel i have ever stayed at, the room looked like something out of the 50s, very dated, cold and not very clean.

I was one night at this hotel to rest during my travel by car. Location is near from nowhere but for me was good because near from highway so I can continue my trip very quickly. breakfast is paid but good. Staff is friendly. Pets are allowed.
