Hotel Première Classe Dijon Nord
Hotel Première Classe Dijon Nord belongs to the new generation of Première Classe hotels since renovations were carried out in 2010. Renovations allowed us to integrate bathrooms in each room add all the modern amenities including the Dunlopillo mattress, flat screen TV and high-speed wireless connection.
The hotel is also in a great location, just over 2 miles from the city center of Dijon, near highways A5, A6, A31 and A3, in the heart of the Cap Nord park and close to the Toison d’Or Technological Park. It is an ideal starting point to visit the capital of the Dukes of Burgundy with its half-timbered houses, its museums (Museum of Fine Arts or Museum of Mustard for example) and its monuments (the Sainte-Bénigne Cathedral and the Palais des Ducs de Bourgogne to name just two).
But the whole region deserves a visit: the Burgundy Canal, the vineyards of the Côte d'Or and Beaune are all must-see attractions.

- The best aspect of the hotel was the free secure parking. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. But the room was possibly the smallest we have ever had. It felt like sleeping in a container. Noise from outside and upstairs was a real nuisance. Breakfast was very basic. We were happy to get back on the road.

- We used this hotel as a basic overnight on our trip to Italy, it was the second cheapest (like wine, always avoid the bottom of the list) so we were expecting very little.
There is loads of parking, and it looks appealing on approach, always a good sign.
We were greeted by an exceptionally friendly and helpful host, who moved us to a ground floor room without being asked, once she saw I was using a stick. There are food and drink vending machines in reception, but no restaurant.
Our room was spotless and smelled clean, with enough space for an overnight stay, and charging points for everyone!
The bed was exceptionally comfortable...or we were over tired!
Breakfast is cheap, but plentiful, and the coffee machine produces a good wake up juice!
There is a very good restaurant next door, so nobody needs to go hungry or thirsty, but if you have a picnic, there are tables outside for you, and you will not be alone!
We are planning on using this as our regular stopping point now, as we can’t imagine finding any better without spending significantly more money!

- Stayed at the hotel as a midway point to and from Spain. Had previously stayed in a no frills Motel opposite to this property and was pleasantly surprised that this was cheaper and had the added bonus of a private bathroom no more running down the corridor in my PJs Yey! the beds were comfortable and the room was cool we arrived in 30c heat so it was a welcome oasis of quite and calm. Would definitely recommend to others. There is a restaurant next door but other than that you would need to venture out and after 7 hours driving it’s not the first thing on your mind.

- The room and bathroom were clean and contained a wardrobe and shelves. The room was adequate for a 1 or 2 night stay. We requested a room away from the area where the smokers congregated - we were given one on the first floor which we thought was good until we realized that the smokers stood on the balconies outside their rooms on the 1st floor smoking and throwing their cigarette ends down into the parking spaces below! There is a notice telling guests to be quiet after 10pm. but this is just ignored. There were car doors slamming after midnight and people laughing and talking outside their rooms - sorry to say these people were English! We took the car into the lovely centre and found it easy to park for free in the streets about 20 minutes walk away from the centre

- Travelling from the Netherlands tot the south of France Dijon Nord is more or less half way. Staying there breaks up the journey. Arriving just after nine, the reception was very kind and helpful. Even a nice place to have a drink outside! We like the ‘coursive’ idea along the rooms. Rooms are small but convenient for our purpose. Beds are good as is breakfast for little money. Lots of parking spaces.
