- While the property is conviently situated close to the centre and train station it is situated in a particularly unpleasant street frequented most of the day and evening by groups of youths. On entering the hotel there was a strong smell of damp that was present throughout the hotel including the room. The room was basic, the bathroom tiny, you couldn't shut the door when seated on the toilet. There was no wardrobe, just two small crates hanging on the wall, fortunately I had no clothes in need on hanging. Having stayed in French hotels previously I brought my own travel kettle and coffee as like most French hotels, there seems to be no facilities for tea or coffee. The Wifi would not connect at all during my stay. I used the free Wifi at Flandres Station when I was out. I paid very little for the room so accept all of the above. According to the price list at the property they charge 88 euros per night which is certainly overpriced.

- Our stay was not premiere class but just for a one night with a cheap price, the hotel is okay. Location is ideal and very easy to find. If you are looking for a quiet stay, I do not recommend this hotel for you.
In the end the hotel offers you the breakfast and basic facilities. The staff is multilingual and very helpful. I think this would be ideal for one night stays and backpackers, like we were.

- I stayed at this so called hotel last week which I chose for convenience as I was travelling on business which suited being close to the train station. I say ‘so called hotel’ as it felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Granted the staff were nice - no problems there, but the rest was a really negative experience. The location for Lille centre was ok but the actual street was full of drug dealers and pimps doing there business - which having ventured out for and evening meal was unerving on return late at night. The room itself was horrible and I’d rather have slept in the train station. My first challenge was to actually get in the room which had a wall at a triangular angle from the door handle to the wall - so you had to be ampedexturous just to get in there. The room was not worth the fight undertaken to get inside. The bed was horrible and pillows we’re so thin they might as well have been made of bog paper. Speaking of the toilet - it was a unique experience following a long day of travelling to sit on the toilet with one foot in the shower whilst leaning on the sink - enough said. Yes it is low cost basic and all that but it was just scurry and just horrible. I won’t go too much into the breakfast but needless to say I’ve never eaten my breakfast from a tray before - the only positive thing to say was i checked out after breakfast which was the best feeling I had since checking in

- Firstly I’d like to say how friendly the staff are, the staff are very good, knowledgeable, and polite, secondly it’s in a great location, five minutes walking to the squares. Other then this the hotel is a serious let down, PAPER THIN walls, you can hear every single thing, including low volumes talking, dirty and tired appearance throughout, including green stains through the corridor, chipped paint and a dirty stench, there were burn marks on the wall from the lights, cigarette burns in the bathroom, the shower curtain touches the toilet, and stinks of urine [ I felt dirty after having a shower in here] small towels, no flannel, only one type of soap found in the shower. The list is endless, but the worst thing was the weirdos through the night, we had a loud banging on our door at 4:30 am, we ignored but could hear it was a couple of men, found it a very Terrifying experience, pay the extra £10 and stay somewhere better, this place don’t give you a plate for breakfast it’s a hovel.
