I was not expecting luxury but it is annoying when the room looks nothing like the rooms on the website or even on this invitation to /comment and review. While the room was clean, it was really really basic and the bed was very low to the ground and lumpy. The bathroom was 100% plastic and there was no toilet paper dispenser. Disappointing and Depressing. The half board rate included dinner, not at the restaurant on the premises but a 300 metre walk to another hotel - Hotel Capmanile where I waited 15 minutes for a beer [receptionist on phone and waiter unavailable] only to discover that he used a spoon to remove beer froth. Dinner was a buffet and everything was clean - the beans and meat would have benefitted from a few hours less cooking but the service was cheerful, where it existed.

Paid well under £40 for a basic but clean room .Reason for choosing it was thwarted as the RER was closed for maintenance, being August (Parisian commuters are on holiday). Idea was to have 300m walk there, then direct to Eiffel Tower. So had to find alternative route with tram and metro. Room comfort would have been improved with more pillows. One small one per person was inadequate and the towels were small and quite worn. But free WiFi worked well and a good breakfast for 5.90 euros, with orange juice, croissants, baguette, cake, cereal and yogurt plus decent coffee. We were perfectly happy. Also Bistrot de Boucher next door was very good for dinner.

The hotel is conveniently located only 30min away from Eiffel Tower and about the same from other Paris attractions by RER (suburban train). It's also served by a tram line that connects the RER and metro Gennevilliers stations. The location has lovely clean streets with modern buildings, supermarkets, restaurants and all necessary retail stuff required.
The budget hotel just off the motorway from Calais to Paris offers reasonably comfortable accommodation.
The room size is okay. The toilet reminds me a mobile caravan installation however with good pressure cold and warm shower. Enough.
breakfast was quite basic but offered with excellent options of bread, croissants, cakes and good self-service coffee (coffee machine) not worse than I have experienced at big chains 3 stars hotels before.
The hotel offers free car parking or at daily rate of £4 if parked underground.
I would suggest that I've found the economic way to visit Paris with comfort.
I strongly recommend this stablishment.

Stayed in this hotel on a business trip last night and ordered a Taxi from the Receptionist for 5.45 in the morning. The Taxi arrived and took me to the Gare du Nord as requested. Paid for the fare and upon asking for a receipt was told the hotel had the confirmation ??? No receipt was available. Suspicion is the Receptionist on duty passed the job onto a friend and I was not afforded a regulated insured taxi.
Work for a blue chip company who would not be too happy to hear this
E mailed Manager and guess what - No reply
Not very impressed
A hotel that can't provide regulated licenced taxi's to their clients should state that and IMO should decline to provide the service.

An extremely poor quality hotel

Our room was ostensibly one of the larger rooms (I think 217) however it was by no means large. That would not be a big issue, the trouble is as can be seen in the attached photo the bathroom is extremely close to the bed. Secondly, the "door" to bathroom is not a door, it's an accordion slider. What this means is that if you are not traveling alone, you had better feel extra super duper comfortable with your traveling companion. There will be nothing that goes unheard. That's the room. Besides a bad door what else you have is as follows:
1. Precisely two towels. No more, no less and asking for more, depended upon who was at the front desk gave a different response. If it was the *manager* I was told each room is given two towels and the implication being that asking for more was asking for extra. Let me be clear, for two people, two large towels. No hand towels, just two towels.
2. There is a single soap in the entire bathroom, a dispenser mounted on the wall in the shower "area" which I suppose is also supposed to be the shampoo and/or bodywash commonly provided in equally priced hotels.
3. The absolute cheapest toilet paper I have ever used in my life.
4. The air conditioning did work with some help from the front desk... not well, but it worked.

Overall, for the price, you can do better. It's not a fancy hotel, and the price isn't fancy either but for $50-60 45 minutes outside of the city, you can absolutely do better.
